So I removed number 1 plug...put paper in hole...rotated engine by hand...the paper popped out roughly between spark plug on dist 2 between 6...however the piston in cylinder 1 is all way down. .I put paper back and kept rotating by hand..and I got a softer pop noise paper flew out exactly right by number 1 spark plug on dist. And the piston is all the way up in cylinder 1.

ITS ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I GAVE IN and kept trying the tdc...yall were right...she was 180 out...I swore it was right but wasnt...I was worried to pull dist and have the oil shaft fall again. However it didnt!! I moved the rotor to spark plug 1 and reinstalled dist...she fired right up. Needs to be tuned and timed. But it's a start. I thank each and every one of yall for the help. I'll still be asking for help Like I need good pics of return springs for the throttle. Oh and guess what...she has oil pressure on the original dash cluster!!!!!!!

I have to laugh at all the resto-mod shows on TV . They go to all the work of rebuilding or new engine and it never starts . But after a while someone puts the dist. in the right way and it runs perfect !
