Advice on saleing price

Thinking of selling excursion. What do you think a fair price is? Looking at auto trader I feel 6000 is fair. Thoughts? 2004 6.0 Eddie Bauer with 280000. average wear and tear for this vehicle, no accidents, 2nd owner. I have owned since 28000 miles. Still driving daily. I know not a lot of information but just looking for advice.

Thanks

Scott

Depends on rust underneath and interior condition. Outside looks good, and those aren't that many miles for a diesel engine. The rest of the truck's condition at 280k is determined by how well you took care of it and fixed things along the way. Any receipts for maintenance and things replaced through the years? Upgrades?

6k is low, unless there's crazy bad rust, The last 04 6.0 excursion I sold had around 250 on it and I got 10k within a few hours of listing it, you should have no trouble in the 9-11k range, maybe a little less if rusted out

Has anything been done to the engine and transmission other than routine maintenance?...studded heads, egr delete, transmission rebuild, etc.

No rust that I'm aware of. Inspected until Oct 2019. Routine maintenance maintained regularly. One mechanic for oil, lube filter, brake etc., one mechanic for diesel work. Suspension is the only think that would require attention. Shocks, u-joints Interior normal wear and tear on seats. Radio works, put CD player does not. DVD works all other equipment are functioning correctly.

After replies from here thinking starting at 8000, seems fair. Again no issues currently, driven daily, will keep if offer not right. Driving Excursion puts less miles on truck. Miles will start racking up again. Central Pa 410 sprint car season started today. Will be traveling each weekend from now till early Oct for daughter and I to attend the races.

If you were closer to me I'd scoop it up and flip it at 6-7k honestly, you're undervaluing it, excursions hold value, very very very well.

Hurry up before these guys drive the price up more! I’d have thrown him an offer if I was closer.

I have to say that from the advice that I have received on here, that the asking price will be going up.

Pull that rig to central Pa. Lincoln Speedway, Williamsgrove Speedway, Port Royal Speedway(my favorite for family) all within about 1 1/2 drive of each other depending on camping location. Kid and I mostly at Port Royal. Not uncommon for her and I to do Williamsgrove Friday night and Port Royal on Saturday night. Thinking of Mansfeild Ohio this year for 100,000 show. If Lance Dewease and Kreitz Racing make the trip, we may not be to far behind.
