Truck Shopping Options List - Feedback Welcome
Hi all,
I think I've narrowed the list of desires to the following options on a '19 CCSB SRW- am I missing anything major or would you delete any of it and why?
Aside from stopping in at a dealer, is there a good tool to try to find a truck with these specific options?
6.2L
Tow Technology Bundle
Lariat Ultimate
FX4
Snow Plow Prep
4.30 gears (strongly desired but thinking might need to be optional if I don't want to order)
Thank you.

You didn't specify 250 or 350.
If 250, you might consider the High Capacity tow package. It's a spendy option at >$1,000, but it gives the larger rear axle and closes the gap between it and the 350. (good catch by Jim below)
Also, if 250, consider Camper over Snow Plow (or the Camper/Snow Plow). Camper gives both 250 and 350 the rear stabilizer. It gives the 250 the rear auxiliary spring, too. Snow Plow ups the alternator, but you could do that separately as its own option..
I'd strongly consider LEDs -- they're really expensive at ~$1,100, but I think it's a feature that every prospective truck buyer needs to think through. If you read through the "what did you do to your truck" threads, half of them are wheels/tires/lift. Scrape those away for a moment. I'd say that half of what's left is simply correcting for options that weren't on the truck people bought off the lot... adding back in Ford options that the owner wishes were on his truck. Navigation systems, tailgate gas shock, running boards, bed liners, fog lights, etc. One of the biggest and one that has also spawned many, many threads of its own: LED light upgrades. From bulbs to entire housings, many are trying to figure out how to upgrade the stock halogen setup. So, make sure you're really bought into the halogen lights before you discount the LEDs. That is, make sure that it doesn't become a "pay me now or pay me later" scenario for you.
Also, consider your must-nots. You listed your must-haves, but it's probably also good to understand your deal-killers. For example, my deal-killers included moonroof and 20" wheels. I don't care how much I loved a truck and, without something unreallistically silly, there's not a deal out there that would have swayed me into taking a truck with a moonroof. That effectively eliminated 99.99999% of Lariat trucks in my area.
I'll stop there. Good luck.

Some other items to consider:
1) 275/70R18E AT tires. If you go for an F350, they’lll increase the official GVWR and payload by ~400 lbs.
2) Consider the snowplow and camper package combo. You’ll get a rear stabilizer bar and, on the F250, an extra leaf in each rear spring pack (4 total); The F350 Lariat already include the aux rear spring leaf (5 total).
3) Order the upfitter switches. I believe that the UpSws and snowplow combo will get you the big 240A alternator
4) The Lariat isn’t equipped with running boards, and the 4x4 trucks are tall. Order either running boards or the chrome package
5) LED cab clearance lights?
6) Wheel well liners?
7) All weather floor mats (or buy 3rd party later)
8) LED lights?
9) Spray-in bedliner?
10) 5th wheel prep package.
11) If snowplow package, then engine block heaters?
12) Dual batteries?
The High Capacity Trailer Tow Package is not available on the F250 6.2.
HTH, and we all enjoyed helping you spend your money!

I agree with you. I have the same for my truck and they're all good options. Those led lights are awesome. If you wait to get them.aftermarket they're very expensive. Pay for the options now or pay a lot more later.

Upfitter switches, sooner or later you will add something that needs power
LED headlights? Not for me. I try my best not to drive at night so they would be a waste for ME.
Skip the moon roof and cab lights. I just dont see any need to cut holes in a perfectly good roof.
Wheel well liners give the truck a much better "finished" look.
4:30's, the elocker is the same price with whatever size gears you go with.

By all means order your truck and get everything you think you’ll need or want. Your going to pay $50 k plus whether you buy it off the lot or order one. The wait time seems pretty short right now, 6 to 8 weeks for most orders. I’m super happy with the truck I just got and there is no way I could of found one like I ordered. I think Ford has the best custom ordering plan of the 3 manufactures, you might as well take advantage of it and get it built your way.
