Those are the years I was tracking too. Just make sure the seal matches for the year that the window came out of. There are some differences (in thickness IIRC) that can cause issues otherwise.

2x on this.
Use 73-79 seal with 73-79 window. 80+ seal with 80+ window. No mixing and matching.
Yup I found this out the hard way...... 73-79 thin groove where the window sits in the seal, 80-96 thick maybe 1/2" groove where the window sits in the seal...
Not to hijack this, but who makes/sells the best rear slider window? It doesn't seem like there are a lot of options
IMO, the best option is to find a nice one out of a 95-96 F150. They're fairly common and cheap at a JY or on CL. They also have a much nicer looking sleek black frame and metal slider latches, while the 73-79 ones have the bulky aluminum colored frames that stick out the back of the cab and crappy plastic latches. not to mention there is a lot more glass surface area in the newer model ones.
I got one out of a 95 for $50 on Craigslist and the rubber seal was even in good shape. Can't beat that.
I'd be surprised to find out that there is more than one manufacturer of these things. I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that CRL (CR Laurence) was the only manufacturer, and made them for Ford and the other companies.
Meaning even the ones you get from the junkyard are going to be CRL, if maybe made to slightly different specifications than the ones you get from the local accessory dealer.
Either way though, I agree that the newer ones from the JY and the new ones you get from CRL are very nice.
I put a new CRL in my '79 in about '90 or so, and was shocked at how much quieter the cab was than with my original.
