Lambchop's '69 Camper Special Build

Here is my truck as it sits now. It's ugly, but the ugly is only skin deep. I have a solid rust free body without too many dents.
...and I wish the PO wouldn't have painted it with gray primer. I think the original Candy Apple Red, and Wimbledon White would have looked pretty good. I might try to go back to the original colors eventually.

Since I didn't have an original seat, I had to purchase a set. I found a set online that had them listed as a 1967 thru 1972 seat track. I don't think the ones I got are from '67-'72. It's my understanding that the seat tracks for bumpsides have two studs on them. These do not. The have holes just like the tracks that came on the seat. It actually worked out great. It made the swap super simple, and completely bolt in. I think the tracks I bought are actually from a '73 to '79 truck. Maybe NumberDummy can confirm or deny that.

Small Update:
So I've purchased all the stuff for a tune-up and have been installing it. It looks like the previous owner may have done a tune-up before, as the plugs, wires, cap and rotor looked pretty good. I decided to keep the parts I took off as backup, except for the cap. I reused the Distributor cap that was on the truck because the one I bought didn't fit tight. It just kind of flopped around even after secured properly. I also rebuilt the 2bbl carburetor and got a fresh, proper, air cleaner for it. No more "lawn mower" air cleaner. I just put fresh oil and a new oil filter in it also. I dropped the fuel tank out of it, (the under the bed tank; the in cab tank is not currently installed), and I am in the process of trying to figure out how to dispose of about 20 gallons of old fuel. I'm getting so close to being able to just drive it, that it hurts.

Unfortunately I have not done much to it recently. I did scrape most of the "mirror" tint off the windows. I may have to take the windows out to get it completely off. I've got a new windshield seal from LMC, that I hope to install real soon. I have read that some guys don't like the LMC rubber, but it's what I can afford for now. I'll eventually put in another seal with the groove for windshield trim; this one is just temporary. I'm looking forward to putting it in as I've never done one before. I already have the rope and plastic windshield tools. The seal in the truck now is in very bad condition. I can almost push my windshield out, and it leaks pretty bad. I can't wait to do more to my truck, but right now I'm having some funding issues. Gotta set aside some money for vacation in July. I'll update everyone as soon as I can.

Windshield Seal install
I replaced the windshield seal in my truck. The old one was in real bad shape. It was missing sections, and didn't seal very good anymore.
In the above picture you can see how bad the seal was. It would leak inside the cab when it rained. When I started to remove the old seal, it was brittle, and just snapped apart.
This was the point of no return. I had never replaced a windshield seal before. To say I was nervous would be an understatement. The two suction cups are just Bondo brand dent pullers I got from Walmart for around $10. I wouldn't rely on them to hold all of the weight of the wind shield, but they did work really well for moving it around.

I've been using PC-Matic on my computers and 99% of the time they all work great. I did screw up and download a program which was supposed to help me watch TV on my computer. Ended up with a Ransomware virus and had to use a back-up to restore it that I made with EaseUs ToDo backup software . By the way if you have back-up software make sure you have their stand alone USB program which can restore your computer without having to connect to the internet first. I've been very fortunate since the last few years I have only had to restore about 3 times, and most if not all of those were from my web site and email mistakes.
