Tuning options for H&S Mini Maxx
I have a 2008 F450 with an H&S Mini Maxx and the stock tuning that came with it. I'm EGR/DPF deleted. I recently rebuilt my 6.4 after cracking a piston. It was a radial crack suggesting a concussion issue and not heat. I've always heard that H&S stock tuning ran too much advance and often caused misfires which could have led to a cracked piston like mine. I understand H&S is out of business. What are my options for alternative tuning?

Back in the day when I was here regularly, the best 6.4 tuning was done by Spartan Diesel Technologies. Before Matt went to the 6.4, he was also the one that did my 6.0 tuning back when I had that.
Now, having said that, I do believe Spartan has been bought out and is something else now (Patriot Diag. or something like that). I have no idea about their record. I don't even know if any of the Spartan guys went over to that or not (of course, they may have for a temp basis, but since that was what 2 yrs ago, I doubt that's still going on).
Given a couple of mods that you listed, custom tuning is probably going to be your best bet as I don't think off the shelf tuners assume deletes.
May want to check the 6.4 forum specifically though, if you haven't already.
