I just saw somewhere that you can take a 4.6 16 valve and put 32 valve aluminum heads on it from a 2003-2005 Lincoln aviator and make 300hp and near 300 ft lbs of torque? And then would it be a good idea to put a Eaton m112 blower on it I was wondering about doing this and putting it in my 1980 f150 4x4 ranger cause I already have a 4.6 16 valve from a crown Vic that donít care about. And I would assume I would also probably want to put a better tranny in it too with all this power but I donít know anything about what one to use. Even if this is more expensive than other options can anyone shed some light on it cause knowledge is power and I like at least just learning more about anything I can. Thanks

The 32 valve 4.6L engines used the Teksid aluminum block which is more highly regarded than the factory iron block. I'm not sure why anyone would ever consider going backwards with 32 valve heads on an iron block. So if you found a 32 valve engine to use, you should grab the whole thing wiring, computer, and all plus the transmission so there would be no issues with compatibility.
The Aviator engine made over 300 HP stock.

You might consider getting a different vehicle that needs an engine and put your CV engine in it then sell it to fund the vehicle you would rather have. It would be great learning experience. And you might end up with something you want to keep.
