You cannot assume the parts are the same, because only basic part numbers are used in pics and Ford has used the same basic part numbers for decades.

For example, every front rubber insulator is basic number 6038, makes no difference if it's a 1961 Lincoln or a 2019 Lincoln.

The text section of the catalog is required to add the apropos prefix and suffix to the basic number, to get the complete part number.

just looking at old threads and found this ,you might want to give a 360 4x4 towers a shot

They make similiar power. The I6 at a lower rpm. The 300 will get better mpgs than the 351m,but the V8 is going to sound better. It's all on what you prefer and whats most important to you. Sound or mpgs? There are upgrades for both, 400 crank swap in the 351 is well known. I'll probably offend some of the 335series guys but the 300 I6 will almost definitely outlast the 351m.

The mounts for the FE engine(360/390) from 73?-76 are the same as the 300.

Look at the lower pic in post #7, these are 2WD engine supports (aka towers/stands/perches), will not work on 4WD (shown in upper pic in post #7).

OP has a 1977 F250 4WD

Like I said, didn't know what he wanted. Lots of talk of 2wd and 4wd...

Also I have two sets posted....so I assume (after checking your post) that my second set is for 2wd trucks and is the set you are referring to.

However To me my first pic looks like the towers in your first pic. so are those not 4wd perches?

Both types are 2WD

2WD's have an engine cross member, 4WD's do not.

2WD supports bolt to the frame rail on one end, to the cross member on the other end (see pic below).

4WD supports only bolt to the frame rails.

Ah I see the angle difference now. So yeah that first set would still need a cross member for the bottom bolts. Do you know which engines that first set fits? Makes it easier for me to sell if I know what they go to lol.

The second set looks like the pic you posted so i assume it's for the engines listed. Or are they for the same motors just different years?
Sorry for the Thread hi jack

Sorry I can't help OP
