Rebuild after Carburetor Fire

While my truck was broken down on the side of the road and I was messing with it I managed to catch it on fire. I am guessing it was an premature ignition in one of the cylinders as it went out. However the fire started, it managed to do quite a bit of damaged as it caught the air filter on fire, melted it, and dripped on the engine before I could get to it. In the end it caused a good bit of damage which I’ll have to repair (see attached pictures). I haven’t taken the carb off yet, but I would like to ask if any of y’all have any input on how to rebuild it, or do i have to get a new one? My throttle linkage is completely messed up, any ideas on fixing that, or will I just need to get a new one? Recommendations on parts are welcome

Thank You

I see you are in Tenn. Do you have underhood inspections? If not, I would buy a cheap aluminum dual plane intake manifold and a small 600 cfm holley 4bbl and put on it. It would be nice to go to the junkyard and get a new original air cleaner for it, the one like you have will fit the 4bbl. I am not much on the chrome air cleaners. If the distributor is ok, you can leave it in place and not have to touch it. You had better check all the wires though.

I would upgrade if I could. Problem is, this truck is going come with me to Germany and needs to be as closely to the original as possible. A different carburetor would make registering it as an Oldtimer more complicated. I have a Pick Your Part right around the corner, so I might check to see if I can salvage a few bits and pieces there.
