"If you are going to make the trade, make sure Ford throws in a bunch of tubes of dielectric grease for you. All exterior connectors aren’t greased and can/will cause issues. Can’t believe how many threads there are about that problem and Fords on there 2nd year where the had a chance to make that correction and didn’t. "
Holy crap. What a pain. Grease every external connector? I'll do a search if I end up buying a new truck, but how many connectors are we talking about here? One way or another I will get LEDs (not just bulbs, I did that with my 2014 and it took me a long time to figure out how not to blind other drivers with scattered light), either stock or the Morimotos.

I traded up from a 2013 F-150 KR EB to a 2019 F-350 Lariat ultimate 6.7. As I recall, the 2013’s sticker price was close to $60K. The 2019, nicely optioned was $70,200. That includes a $9200 engine upgrade. So on full retail, I upgraded a 6-year old 1/2 ton for a new 1-ton that can pull a house off it’s foundation. Minus the diesel option, the new truck was less than $1K more than the 2013 F-150 cost 6 years ago.
It’s not exactly apples to apples, as the ‘13 was a KR. But the ‘19 is a Lariat ultimate, so it’s not too far off as far as gingerbread. As much is I like to save money, I thought the new truck wasn’t that outrageous. With the discounts, I paid about $2500 below invoice, a better deal than I got in 2013.

Employee Pricing
I don't believe it's just a US "thing." The only reason I can get it, is because my Dad and Brother worked for Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis. The employee pricing is extended to immediate family members. This plan has cost me thousands of dollars over the years because it's so enticing to buy new vehicles when I probably shouldn't
