5.4 forced induction solutions for the 6.8?

So searching for 6.8 turbos and superchargers doesn't work. Will the 5.4 solutions work? Thanks guys.

Well I think a 5.4 will work, there is nothing specific on my V10 that would prevent my V10 kit from working on a 5.4.

Mine uses factory intake and an adapter bolts to intake and blower bolts to adapter.

Mine is a 2V V10 later models may be different than mine though.

I have a 3V 6.8. I was wondering if a 5.4 kit would work on my engine. I can't find any forced induction kits for this thing! Thanks for the reply rock2610d

I would think this would fit.

Maybe a custom tune will be needed.

Call and see.

Superchargers are great but I suggest a turbo like a efr 9180 from borg warner.

It will spool at low rpm on our motors. 3 psi at 1600 rpm or so. You could have 12 psi boost by 2000 rpm.

This unit can come with an integral bypass valve and a wastegate. Just plumb oil lines, hot and cold sides than tune with bigger injectors, intercooler, fuel pump and MAF.

I do not drive my supercharged V10 in temps above 50 drgrees. It just gets too hot. Water meth is great and cools boost alot but at cruise intake temps are 80 to 100 degrees above ambiant. Towing is out of the question in warm temps as I would go thru gallons of WM every hour.

At 9 psi without WM I was pushing 250 degree air to my motor in 75 degree weather. I push 12 psi now with water meth and 120 degree air. But you can see a twin screw will heat alot of water at 250 degree outlet temps. A long pull up a hill will heat soak all but the largest of of water to water systems and will take alot of air to cool it down.

In a heavy vehicle heat soak is an issue, even if there is a water to water intercooler. The water would get hot expecially at low vehicle speeds.

This is why I suggest a turbo, as they don't heat intake air too much at cruise, and an air to air intercooler has less heat soak because it's mass is much lower than a water to water.
