I agree. The black looks good. Don't like the grey. My wife and I already talked about the consul bezel would be too much in red. Hadn't thought about black. Thanks for the suggestion.
Does the consul bezel just pop off or do I have to deal with screws?

To remove the cover, no tools are necessary. Set your emergency brake and put the shifter in neutral. Lift the armrest so it’s out of the way.
Next, grab each side of the cover (near the end where the arm rest is) and give it a pull. There are clips that will pull free.
Only lift it about 20-30 degrees and pull it back towards you. It should come right out.
I’m sure here are videos online. I learned from watching a tech do it.
Got it out and am in the process of painting the bezel. Looks like you painted the chrome trim, as well. Could be the photo, but looks like it. I separated mine and will have to glue it back in before reinstall. I like the chrome, but not the grey.
I don't like the auto stop/start. I gave it 4 months try out. As of late I have been hutting the dash button to shut it off.
I am tired of having to reset it each time I start-up. Yesterday I installed the Start/Stop Eliminator by 4D Tech. Doesn't affect programing or warranty. Installs in the OBD port. So far it seems to work great. A days worth of testing may not be conclusive, but at this point, it seems to have been a good move.
I had to get a two port OBD cable. I have a dash cam I also plug into the OBD, so need a second one. Ten dollars.
Blackvue. Used this: Snap N Go P1 OBD Power Cable for BlackVue Dashcam w/ Parking or ACC Mode Switch.
Have installed 4 dash cams and found this an easy and effective way of installing them. Have several hardwired with tap fuses. This is way quicker and easier.
I love that color combination looks perfect on that Truck! Is the topper very heavy or does it have some heavy duty shocks on it?
Topper not heavy. It is a UnderCover LUX. Great color match. Easy to use. Closes and locks without glitch. Shocks are stock.
Had one by another manufacturer on my 2008 Tacoma. Never closed or locked right. The one complaint I had with my Tacoma was the back suspension. Came with two leaf springs. Installed a third after complaint. Still was not good. The thing I liked best about the truck was I supercharged it. It was fun.

We had a couple of Tacomas that we put on Super Springs. Really made a difference for heavy loads.
Got some work done in the cab. It is about where I want it. Took Kingofwhlietx's suggestion on the bezel of the console. Went with black. Not happy with the work I did, will require more. Anyway like it at this point. Will live with it awhile before doing anything else.
For some reason my eye is drawn to the panel above the glove box. I was thinking that might look good in red to offset the steering wheel on the opposite side and tie it all together.
