Every other vehicle I have uses 0W-20, which is why I decided to test it in the V10. In theory, any 20 weight oil should work just about the same, and the 0W, with it's better cold flow properties, should help on startup by getting pushed through the system faster and building pressure quicker.

That will be interesting to find out. In reality, with a full synthetic there is probably not much difference in a 0W vs. a 5W. Comparing a 0W synthetic vs. a 5W semi synthetic might be different.

The Amsoil 0W-20 is $38 for 1.25 gallons without discount and before shipping. With the preferred customer discount it's $27 before shipping. In terms of quality, I'd say Rotella and Amsoil are pretty similar. Curious what the 5 quart jug of Rotella costs in-store. Online it looks to be about $40.

Nice report! Next oil change, going to Shell Rotella 0w-20.... if I can find it here. Going from 5w-20 to 0w-20 isn't really a stretch anyway.

I use Amsoil 5w40 in my Excursion. It ran smoother and quieter than with 5w20.
