Increased "C" Running Light Brightness with FORSCAN!

After reading about another member using FORSCAN to increase the brightness of the "C" running lights on their 2017, I decided to try it out. What a difference! Probably one of my favorite FORSCAN mods. Now I wont be jealous of the brightness of the 2018 and 2019 lights. Sorry for the terrible pictures, but its freezing rain here and had my laptop in my hands. Anyways, before and after pics below!

Is that legal? Looks like you have high-beams on.

Most definitely legal. This just brings the brightness of the 2017 lights up to that of the outgoing models. The beam is not focused so its really not even on the same level as an actual headlight. They are far less powerful than fogs and low beams.

I wonder if it`ll decrease the longevity.
Of course, many will automatically say it doesn`t but only time will tell.

Do you turn off your headlights while driving at night as a courtesy to other drivers? I highly doubt ford intended to annoy other drivers when they decided on the brightness of these lights.

No, I was only flashed when I lowered the back of the truck. Spent about 10 minutes adjusting them and haven't ever been flashed for my halogen lights being too bright. So, why are you trying to make them brighter?

To match the brightness of the outgoing models. This just increases the brightness of a 17 to match that of the 18-19 model years. Therefore this mod will do nothing on an 18 or 19 since their lights are already this bright from factory.

You just can't win, can ya?

Something as simple as increasing the brightness of running lights to the same level of brightness the newer trucks run at brings out questions of legality.

Jesus man, I guess we're not supposed to touch anything. Just put gas in it and keep quiet.

I thought it was an optical illusion that the newer trucks had brighter lights than mine. Thanks for posting this!!
