Have in shop steering cylinder off 1982 F7000 that customer beat on thread end. Cylinder is marked D6TA 3A540 AA with cyl rod end marked 403804 425 . Do not have front axle code, Also is rod avaible , it is 11/16. We have 5/8 and 3/4 chrome rod stock.

 

I looked for a pic of the cylinder, couldn't find one. Then I crossed the D6TA-3A540-AA ID number to the part number D6TZ-3A540-A and looked up its application.

You are working on an LN series, not an F Series. I need the AXLE code printed on the Certification Label to find out what the weight capacity of the front axle is.

Lower pic: Here's the 9,000 lbs. capacity cylinder. The other cylinder looks completely different.

 

Thanks ND That looks like cylinder that I have. I am going to get customer to get axle code Monday. If this is correct cyl will need 3A533 , 3B711 , 3B542.
