That`s a very nice find, nothing to be found like that around here that`s not badly rusted. What are your plans for it?

My first time doing a frame off. It's allot of fun and challenging. Me and finance and soon to be step daughter Jess did all the work. I did the welding and heavy lifting, Jess assembled the new motor and finance discovered she had knack for body work.

Kiddo Jess assembling motor

Fiance Vicky doing body work.

Glad she is doing this. I don't have the patience for body work...

Welcome to FTE.
Nice project and you got the family involved way to go.
Is that the factory color and if not why did you pick it? Reminds me of US Forest truck color of years ago.

Do you know of the NC chapter of FTE? https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum88/
Good group of guys & gals when they show up for the monthly dinners.

The original color was Adriatic Green and tried to get it. With primer and single stage, was $800 and the guy could not guarantee the color. Did find the actual color online for $350 a gallon. We decided to go with "Grinch Green" which is 2 parts summit racing Sublime Green, 1 Part Flat white and 1 part Metallic Blue. $400 made 4 gallons and only used 2.

Have not heard of the NC Group but will look them up. New wiring harness going in now. What a pain....nothing painless about it lol

Anyone know a universal alternator mounting kit that would work on a 223. Replacing generator with alt.
