I'm sure it's like changing any other steering wheel. But, be warned, if you are in an accident and injured your insurance company can deny a claim if they find you removed the airbag.

that's an excellent point, I wonder if when I take it for inspection to get insurance coverage if they will note that it does not have original equipment airbag/steering wheel or if they would deny coverage with an aftermarket steering wheel in the vehicle. I am looking at a '95 F150 which I am guessing has an airbag because a search at Summit Racing does not come up with any steering wheel that fits this vehicle.

The F150 started receiving air bag steering wheels in 94. I wouldn't remove it since it is likely a liability / safety issue. What if you remove it and a friend gets injured while driving it. Not worth the hassle.

Briansshop: thanks for the link. is that an extra cowl below the adapter in the truck pic? or part of the original column? looks like the turn indicator lever is further from the steering wheel, could just be due to the adapter? thanks

RE: insurance & safety, I appreciate ya'll offering advice. I had a '95 toyota I bought 2nd hand and the airbag light was on for the 10 years I owned it, I always thought 'my old truck never had airbags' when I noticed the light on. same with ABS, I guess I am just immune to warnings, hehe but thanks for reminding me that others are not. also the whole time I owned a vehicle with ABS it only came on once when I was testing the stopping ability on winter roads, ice & snow, and the rest of that weekend while I was 'winter driving' it never activated again. all this talk about safety now has me worried, jinx!

What you see in the installed pic is all included with the adapter. The turn signal stalk might be a bit farther away. I think it just looks farther because the steering wheel is flatter with less dish than the stock wheel.

The description is correct, says the picture is generic.
