No this 69's is 28-spline so that would need changed anyways.

And that's what I believe. The rear of the frame looks like it's from a 67-72. I need to look more in depth to confirm.

I think I found a diff. It's a 28 spline. I'll get back with you after I check it out tonight. I'm in N. Canton, by the CAK airport.

1979should have tapered axle bearings? Not sure what year they changed that around. I'm not real familiar with 73-up.
The tapered roller axle bearing was introduced in 1974, but the large ball type bearing was also available, both thru 1979.

There's no way to know which bearing is present until you pull an axle and take a look-see.

What you may run into on a '69 is, there were two types of differential bearings/cups, large cone and roller & slim line.

1969 F100 before serial number J30,001 use the cone and roller type. From serial number J30,001 use the slim line type and do every other 9 thru 1987.

FoMoCo did some real dumb things. They introduce the tapered roller bearing in 1974, then cancel it at the end of the 1979 model run.

1980/87 9's have the large ball type bearing, as did 1961/73 9's. 1974/79's could have either. 1957/60 F100 9's have the medium ball type bearing.

When Ford introduced the 8.8" integral in 1983, some F100/150, Bronco and E100/150 had it, some didn't, because the 9 was also available thru 1986 in F150/Bronco, thru 1987 E100/150.

Well, what I found seems to be a 28 spline 4 pinion Limited slip. I think I know what it came from. Don't think it was hurt, just replaced with 31 spline stuff.
