Talk about pulling a fast one .
I hope Fords new 10 speed is based off there current 6 speed which is a really good transmission .

Well, GM used to own Allison, and the previous Allison 1000 series used in their HD pickups was manufactured at a GM facility, not the Allison plant in Indianapolis. I don't think it will make any difference, Allison engineers had a hand in their new 10 speed. As for Ford's new 10 speed, according to the Ford engineer interviewed on that TFL video on the 2020 Super Duty, it is actually based on the light duty 10 speed in the F-150, Mustang, Silverado and Camaro. That transmission was a joint venture between Ford and GM. I don't know why Ford didn't base their new 10 speed off the excellent 6R140 Torq-Shift 6.

Funny thing is the 4500 and above trucks get the real allison 1000 six speed .
I'm not really excited about the new Ford or GM .
I went to buy a new 2019 F350 just was not ready to pull the trigger on 80k Platinum , we have both Ford and GM at work and like the Ford over the GM
No, the only Ford trucks that had Allisons in recent history were the 2015 and older F-650 and 750. Since 2011 the 450 and 550 and the 2016 and newer 650 and 750 all use the Ford 6R-140 Torque-Shift 6 transmission.

All chassis cabs plus new F650/750, stripped motor home chassis too. Exciting news. The B-roll footage of the F-600 has the 7.3.

Glad I bought a 2019. Don't want my Super Duty to look anything like an F150.

I agree, it does look too much like an F-150, and a lot less SD.
It is easily correctable though for those of us who aren’t feeling it.
I love the DRW grille, and a swap should be simple, and I’ll have a DRW style ordered and installed on my 20’ before I drive it home.

DRW grille for the chrome trucks, or the Limited grille for the Plat.

Naw, it'll get a fair bit better than that coupled with that sexy new 10-speed transmission.

I am personally really excited about it looking more like a 150. I love everything about my 150 aside from its over the road towing capability.

Love the nostalgic V8 badge for the 7.3 shown on the medium duty.
