'66 F100 / Crown Vic Suspension / Big Block Oil Pan advice needed...

Hello All,

I an restoring a '66 F100. I purchased it with a Big Block 460 out of a '71 Lincoln. The clearance between the Oil Pan and the front Cross Member was about 1". I have just replaced my front Suspension with an '05 Crown Vic Police Interceptor and I am concerned that my engine will now not fit.

Has anybody out there got any advice for me? Will I need to replace my Pan with a shorter one? How much shorter? Will this affect the pump inside?

Thanks in advance!!

John

Have you tried to fit the motor? Milidon makes a lot of different pans. I also see on car shows where they cut up the pan and modify it to fit their needs.
