ELM 327 adapter work for brakes and tire pressure systems???
I have a bunch of the cheap ELM 327 OBDII bluetooth adapters and use the Torque app for scanning codes on my vehicles.
Recently my 2008 Explorer has intermittently been showing tire pressure monitor faults and tire sensor faults.
Nothing shows up when I scan it with Torque.
Kind of assumed that it wouldn't show since not engine or chassis related and different systems.
BUT...
Now I am wondering if there is any other app(s) of scan tools that would allow me to see stuff like the ABS and TPS codes without being too pricey???
I am assuming that one of my tire's sensors has a battery about too die since it is over 10+ years old now.
But had hopes that I could at least diagnose it and find out what is going on without spending too much.
Appreciate any help, advice, and insight.

I counted 28 flashes before it went solid.

To access the ABS and the TPMS systems, you will need 1) an interface that connects to the MS-CAN bus and 2) an application that can talk to subsystems that are on that bus.
For a "cheap" ELM 327 device to work, you'd need one that has the switch or that has been rewired. As far as I know, Torque doesn't read the MS-CAN bus unless you use custom PIDs. Forscan, however, should be able to do it.

It flashes for 70 seconds. The number of flashes doesn't communicate anything.

I have heard about Forscan a few times.
I will have to look into that some more I guess.
