Have you located the source of the leak? How much is leaking? What are the temps outside. Mine drops oil from the oil cooler on very cold mornings and if I haven't plugged in the block heater.
My guess (assumption based only on stated info) is if it's going into high idle on its own then its cold outside. Cold enough to trigger the EBPV, which is the source of the leak and needs rebuilt/deleted.
It’s probably an 1/8th of oil. It’s a good amount. When it high isles the EBPV kicks on and that’s the only time I ever notice oil besides a few drops here and there. Drain bolt is good and the pan is good.
