I've had cortisone shots in my heel, elbow,shoulder and 12 times in my knuckles. Only once did I get an infection and I never let that doctor touch me again. Should be no big deal in the knee, they usually freeze it before injecting the cortisone. The only ones they didn't freeze on me was my knuckles, they already hurt so bad I couldn't tell the difference..

They sure did Morris but when I was getting them in my knuckles it would only last for about a year before needing them done again because of the work I was doing and vibration from impact guns and rock drills and over use mostly. Cleared the problem in my elbow almost instantly ,my shoulder doesn't bother me too bad now but I'm not really doing anything to aggravate it either..
