1950 F1 Hood Spring Help

I need help installing the hood latch on my 1950 F1, this is the chrome part that goes into the hood. LMC shows the part number I ordered but spring is not definitive for me to install it. LMC Part # 49-2997 - HOOD HANDLE SET-CHROME

i think you should ask in the 48 to 56 forum .

I don’t think anyone took offense to your post but were simply suggesting where you have the best chance of finding the info you need. Also, if you post some pictures of the parts in question you will make it easier for folks to answer. People on these forums are eager to help when they can.

thank you that photo is what I was looking for, the gentlemen I bought the truck from had the spring in upside down? or rather on the bottom of the pin assembly, I could not get the handle and pin out of my old hood, making it confusing to replace it.
