Sorry, but if you did ANY research what so ever on towing then you would have read that every and I do mean EVERY site dedicated to towing recommends diesel
Even common sense tells you that if "gasoline" engines were good for towing then every big rig would be powered by gas, instead every single over the road truck is diesel

First.
I apologize for my fellow 6.7 owners. It seems some of them are 16 or just need to grow up.
Next.
From the previous posts it sounds like you will get more performance on 91 but it is not needed. I have had several vehicles were this was the case. I hope this lowers stress.
Now.
To all those people who think that you are a fool for even thinking about fuel prices. Well, they are rich enough not to have to worry about money or to stupid tp realize that they do have to.
Try this
Tell them to send you a check for the difference in fuel cost over the life of your truck, about $1,750, (My calculation, but I'm good at it) and you can stop annoying them about "chump change".

Being presumptuous here. Do not apologize for me there Captain Obvious. This is not what the comments were about. BTW the comment above about higher Octane not being needed? You need to do more research or buy some high performance cars because yes there is a difference on the dyno because of the engine controls. Lost count of how many cars, trucks, and bikes I have done dyno runs on to tune. We did 5 on my highly modified C7 Z06 after the internal motor work including the E85 conversion hardware and tuning.
So the posts from the Owners manuals are incorrect? Or from the wrong manual?
As for my previous vehicles, I am sorry you were under the impression any of them was a C7zo6,they were not,(I wish they were) and yes I am ignorant of the fuel requirement for that car.
