Brake Booster - Master Cylinder - which brand?

Hi All,

I have a 1986 F250 5.8 4x4 over 8500lbs - looking to replace the brake booster and master cylinder. Anyone have any feedback on which brand to use?? Currently have the original motorcraft/bendix on there now. Hate to use a cheap auto parts store one unless I have to. Thanks for any feedback!!

Same on masters as I dont ever remember replacing a booster?
Now I will need to do both on my 81 F100 project before I drive it and I was looking at Rock Auto.
I think it was RA that also had a service that would rebuild your booster and send it back. That was for my 81 F100 so don't know if they do the same for yours?

Master Cylinder Raybestos or Delco (same unit) Made in the states better casting and machining than some of the cheaper ones

Booster Does not really matter all the internal bits come form the same source regardless who rebuilt it. This is one of those cases of whoever has the best exterior finish....

Back in the 80's and early 90's, they had problems with the boosters on these trucks. I bet almost everyone of them has been replaced at one time or another.
