He used caster cams, that's sufficient for a 2.5" lift.

My truck came with a 3.5 inch rake so his truck probably still has a 1 inch rake after a 2.5 inch level.

Correct, alignment was within factory caster specs for a 2018 f350, they said shims were not needed. Truck drives like it should, will have it checked again when I go in for a re-torque.

Mine has been great with the ReadyLift 2.5" level kit and stock shims, but I didn't have the opportunity to drive it prior to the lift and I have dual-stabilizers so could be masking any issues. I also had to go back and add the relocation bracket and bump stop ext. so not surprised if they took other shortcuts.

I think the adjustable track bar helps considerably as it centers the axle and keeps the steering parallel like it oem geometry. The alignment shop said some trucks need caster shims and some don't when going with leveling kits or under 3" lifts. Lifts 3" or more should definitely should have Radius Arms or RA brackets for correct caster from what i'm hearing.

I believe it, I've helped 3 or 4 buddies now that haven't needed caster cams, and they love the way their truck drives. Its crazy how much variation there is in these things from the OEM.

Far from confused I’ve been lifting Ford, GM & Toyota trucks for 35+ yrs.
Sometimes my post don’t match what I’m thinking lol as I’m no computer whiz

I failed to see / read the $400 alignment comment that supposedly didn’t need caster corrected.

How much lift are the snow plow springs netting over stock?

I’m trying to plan my setup out with the heavy service spring (mid level, below yours) before the truck arrives as it was ordered. I’m probably gonna have 50% of that lift.

Also is the trackbar heim linked on one end? What’s the service life on the other side bushing?

I ordered H/D svc frt suspension on both my F350 & I doubt their 1” higher than stock.

The 17-19 Super Duty Tracking Bar has a ball joint / tie rod type tapered stud in the lower end that bolts to the axle.

I’d guess both ends should last 75-100k Miles of NORMAL Hwy driving & that’s a Guess.
