After 13 years with my diesel, it was time for a change. Really couldn't justify the cost of the diesel, and really didn't need such a big truck anymore. So, did a little searching for a gently used F-150, and came up with this. 2015 Lariat, 5.0, only 28 K miles. So, I'll be in here hanging out with you guys!

Nice. I like the Caribou accent color. Too bad it isn’t used anymore. There are some benefits to having a ‘15. You have the old 5.0 with the sleeved block, the proven 6 speed and Sync2/MFT. Sync2 doesn’t have a lot of features that Sync3 has, but it doesn’t have near as many issues.

Nice truck! I really liked the 2015 F150 I had but we ended up needing a bigger truck. I liked that 5.0L engine - very capable.

Thanks guys. Did a lot of checking between the 3.5 and 5.0. Just decided to stick with the V8. And seems like they were a little lower in price. I like that accent color also, really sets off the red. Only thing I may regret is not holding out for one with the longer bed. Time will tell if that drives me nuts or not, I'm used to have an 8 foot bed.

I have a 6.5’ bed. It’s nice to have, but I’ve found it to be not necessary. There have been times when I’ve found it tough to park. Drives my wife crazy when we pass “good” parking spaces, haha. I don’t mind walking, unless there is no place to park at all.

Actually, 99% of the time, a 5.5’ bed would do since I have a 6.5x12 utility trailer.

My first SuperCrew F150 was a 2001 with the 139” wheelbase. I could park it just about anywhere.

I had one of those too. I never really needed it, so it’s been 6.5’ beds since. I pull trailers for the big stuff.

Yeah, love the color. Two things I want to get done. Install a swing-out storage box in the bed, under the tonneau cover, and, get a leveling kit put on it.

Congrats on the new truck.
Very low miles, very clean, and that Ruby Red looks awesome on a sunny day.

Just picked up a gently used 18 STX in Blue Jean Blue myself so I'm also in new territory
Last Ford gasser I had was a 90 4.0 Ranger I sold in 02 or 03, still have my 04 F-450 for heavy work.
I'm way behind on these new gas engines.
