PPEI vs Chaos vs GDP tuning

Same transmission tweek benefit, better throttle response, more power - the normal benefits I'm sure the hotter tunes would cause the DPF to need more frequent regens though. While deleting is tempting, my truck is so clean, I can't even smell it when running in my garage. Deleted trucks don't smell so nice.

Hey Matt, Seems we might have the same tune set up.
I have GDP on my 18 f250. I run daily on the 75+ tune which is "towing"
I will say my shifts from 3rd into 4th are hard sometimes. As well as 4th into 5th. SOMETIMES. This is all that I would like fixed is the shift points. Also I feel GPD tunes shift into the next gear a little too fast.
TCM ONLY 2ND LOCK SOFT SHIFT V1.1
NO EMISSIONS SOTF 0-200hp V1.3 low smoke
Do you have a lift on the truck? Bigger wheels/tires?

The magnuson moss warranty act that we all sign when purchasing any new vehicle states what can and cannot void a vehicles warranty. I have spent the last 15yrs working in various service depts, if a dealer is unwilling to honor a warranty its usually because the service depts efficiency numbers are bellow the corporate requirements. Thus causing the service writer/manager to avoid warranty work because it hurts overall efficiency numbers. Im not saying thats the only reason for warranty denial but its more often than not the cause.

Anybody else have any input on Proven Tunes? I follow them on Facebook as they are local to my province (Alberta) and was wondering if they have a good rep. They seem quite responsive to owners messaging them with issues or tweaks they want. Looks like a good outfit, but the actual tunes are the important part lol.

18 F350 DRW, running Tyrant 75HP tow for the past 20K miles. Power is great, fuel mileage is great, shifts were a little harsh/hard at first but i guess it learned and dialed itself in. Shifts good now.
I purchased PPEI tunes and tried their 75HP tune. Fuel mileage was horrible. Tyrant tune nets much better mileage over PPEI. my experience with those two. Now have a $1,200 tuner thats a paperweight.

Tyrant Tunes
I have a 2017 F350 DRW with EZ Lynk and Tyrant tunes, 5” exhaust, S&B CAI, No Limit EGR Block off plates. I’ve blown the turbo seals out already (luckily ford warrantied the turbo). I’ve also blew a seal on the rear of the transfer case (Ford Warrantied it). Now I have a messed up transmission. It’s overheating, jaw jarring downshift 5th to 4th, slip in 6th and 3rd. Metal in the trans pan. Tyrant sent me new trans tunes when the 5th to 4th downshift started. It didn’t fix it. Now all the other issues. I was a fan of Tyrant when I first got them installed in the TCM and ECM now i just like the ECM tuning and trying to figure out who’s got the best TCM for after I drop $9000 in a new transmission.

How did you get ford to cover the turbo and the t case seal? Thats pretty luckily.
I have the PPEI ECM and TCM tune, I have a slight 5th to 4th downshift harshness as well but not that bad. Other then that I think the tunes are really good. I am running the medium shift. 2nd lock TCM tune V1.6E.
