PHX Airport. Truck won't fit!

I went to sky Harbor airport to pick up my girlfriend and found out that my truck does not fit in the parking garage. Luckily I figured that out before I grabbed a ticket as the height barrier hit the top of my truck.
Luckily no dings or scratches.

Damn you Airport Parking!

Yep. Lots of parking garages my truck won't fit into in Phoenix. I have to park in the visitors area at my office on the bottom floor. Upper floors don't work.

That is why I bought an "airport beater." I travel a lot and park in the garage at PHL. The barrier says 6'6", but the airport website says anything over 6" may not fit. I got sick of parking offsite and taking a shuttle (plus I didn't want a $50K truck sitting in a public lot)...happened to find an 02 malibu with 66K miles on it for $1,600. Some little old lady kept it in her garage for over a decade and that is what I leave at the airport. On the positive side, if I am ever really late, I can just take my plate off and leave it at the terminal hahaha

I'm flying at least twice a month. fortunately, SeaTac has overheight parking right at the terminal.

I end up in east economy or the oversize lot east of terminal 4, depending on trip duration. Lots of super duty trucks in that oversize lot...

Yeah, same problem here in Houston. I have to park off-site in over-sized parking and take a shuttle.
