So I'm in Hypermiling mode right now. Made a trip from Fairfield to Redding CA on Highway 5 and hit 20.6MPG at the end of the trip. I actually just started using the MPG (AVG) PID the day before.
Is this more accurate than the Lie-O-Meter in my Excursion? Loving my Pumpkin Octa-Core Android Head Unit BTW.

Obviously, you did that screenshot while rolling slowly, since your GPS speed is .3mph, which means Torque is using that value, which I doubt is true. You were probably at a complete standstill and did the safe thing of taking your eye off the parking lot and took a screen shot...

If I drove my truck on that flat stretch of highway, at 55, I could hand calculate 20 or maybe more mpgs. I hit 18 at 70 (or keeping it under that)....

But I'd drive a Prius if I was concerned about mileage... All due respect, but you are driving a close to eight thousand pound vehicle that is shaped like a brick...

Happy new year,
Scott

Not sure if the torque app is accurate with regards to mpg, but Iíve gotten 18mpg (hand calculated) driving home from OH to WV traveling around 75 or so, Innovative Extreme Street tune. And my Excursion is lifted 6Ē with 35Ē tires, so 20.6 doesnít seem to be out of the realm of possibility.

phatboy7 is starting off with a positive reputation.
The storm passing through that route would probably bump up the mpg with the tailwind.

Yes, I had just completely stopped at my friend's restaurant a moment before taking the picture above. Indeed the Storm pushed me up there as I only got a bit over 18mpg coming back home today in the same bad weather.

I have gotten 21.5MPG going from Tacoma WA to LA hand calculating the MPG.
So it can be done. I was running stock. I would fill up every 300 miles.

I got 18 by hand call going from RDD to SAC, but that was all "down hill".

A little more important, how were your deltas coming from Winters to Dunnigan or Dunnigan to Williams since those are some of the flattest areas in the north state?

My Delta cruising around 71_72mph was averaging 8 at 188 coolant 196 Oil. I got about 25k miles on my engine now and never pay attention to Delta unless I'm actually pulling a good grade, then it's in the 2-3 range or lower.

BTW after the trip I have a bumper Sticker idea: "Slow Down or F*** You go around"

Iíve got to agree with that!! Towing a trailer with Boy Scouts of America logos and identifiers on it with the flow of truck traffic and STILL get passed like Iím standing still.

At least the CHP officer passed me the same way and had that driver pulled over a couple of miles down I-5. BTW, both the driver and officer were female.
