Can I get an opinion
Putting my truck for sale to test it out wondering what some of you would sell it for if you were me..
2001 f-250 7.3 diesel.
Clean clear title.
The mileage is at 193,xxx has never been down or not running.
I am the 3rd owner, but it has been in the family from the second owner (who is a sibling) for about the last 12 years. Additionally, I have a book of receipts and information for it.
It's a short bed super cab automatic transmission 4x4.
Here are some things it has starting under the hood:
Fluids have been changed on schedule
Using Rotella. I used to use delo 400 but they changed their formula that isn't beneficial to Diesel engines so I switched to rototella...
Recent alternator
Recent icp
Recent cam shaft position sensor
Recently bought gold batteries
New under cover valve harness
New cleanable cold air s&b filter
Upgraded to the 6.0 transmission cooler
Under the truck:
New fuel filters on the fuel pick up
Dual front stabilizers
8 inch leaf spring lift
Warn locking hubs
180 degree transmission oil thermostat
Led underglow lights
Bully bar side steps
37/13R18 Toyo open country with 3/4 tread
10x18 maxxus wheels
Inside the truck:
Very good alarm system with remote that transmits half mile away so if I'm in the movies or a store it will still work
Banks six gun
Power window, locks, mirrors and seats which all work
New door speakers, tweeters and an amp
3 pod column gauges for trans temperature turbo boost and egt
Interior isn't super dirty, but the driver seat is beginning to wear
Cons to the truck:
The 4x4 switch stopped working so the 4x4 is operational through a separate switch which has no effect on the 4x4 capabilities

If you were here in Phoenix, with that mileage, and the cab configuration and lift, I'd venture you could get about 10-12K for it. My 2001 F350 crew cab 4x4 which had 3K more miles than yours cost me 12,500 here in may. Your paint is in better shape than mine, but my transmission was rebuilt less than 50K and I have the proof of it. It was what sold me on my truck. The mileage is roughly the time injectors and transmissions need replaced/rebuilt, so knowledgeable people may take that into consideration as well (doesn't mean every truck is that way, many go 300K on original injectors and we'll over 200K on the transmission).

As far as ride goes, it depends on a lot of variables. Every truck I have ever personally owned has never had an issue with the ride quality or steering other than one Dodge I owned many years ago. And every single one has been lifted. If you use quality parts and maintain it right, you should never have an issue with the ride. It also depends on the tires you run as well. Most people buy the cheap rough country lifts and then have cheap ball joints and tie rods, and they go through them every few years, tires wear unevenly, and then it rides like crap.

What he said. Im not sure why people lift these trucks, especially when using them for work. It is purely cosmetic, plain and simple

Your problem will be finding the right person. The truck is worth what someone is willing to pay for it...
With that said, I myself would not even entertain the idea of buying your truck unless I just about stole it from you and then I would turn around and sell it. Ya, I know... That was a bit gruff, but being a SNCO in the military taught me a lot of things, and being nice is not one of them. Being direct and to the point is though... I am doing better now though, with coaching from my wife and growing my hair out...
Anyway, someone might be willing to pay $15,000 or more for the truck as it sits. You will need to find the buyer that is looking for a lifted, custom painted truck with chrome wheels. That is not me, but there are plenty of people out there that might be willing to pay for it.
The best advice I can offer you is not to be in a hurry. List it for sale on Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist. List it for a price that is higher than you want and go from there. If you are in a hurry to sell it, you are screwed...
