This happens a lot around here. I always check the backseat, under the seat and nearby vehicles. Find a lot of stuff like this. Also have found various odds and ends on the ground because I knew what they were.

It also happens when someone pulls the part, then isn't willing to pay for it. I recall someone wanting the lines, makes a deal for like $50, pulls the IP too... the JY wants $100 or so for it, and can't accept that("Oh, I figured you'd throw in the IP for free").
So, part goes back. I grab it, pay $100(which is a total good deal for an IP+lines) and am happy!

At the PNP`s the IP`s are about $52. Some will then charge about $6 for each hard line.
I got mine with the 40% off, they call it a "Fuel Injection Spider TY" under item# 370-5.
It came to $43.25, and including the timing gear and cover. The mgr was pretty cool, but
I have BS`d with him before.
I went back yesterday and snagged the Injectors, Battery Tray and Coolant bottle from the
83 6.9.
Pulled a bench seat out of a newer F150, seat bottom for driver/pass is contured for your
butt and comes up higher in the back for driver/pass and has a wide arm rest in the middle.
Of course it is porno red.
We`ll take it in and have it reupholstered and replace the POS Seat in the 86.

Was going to do a couple more flushing`s on the engine, but rain/snow today and thru Wed.
Noticed yesterday 3 fuel return caps are leaking on driver side. Dang I had that all dried up.
I have plenty of the 111 "O" Rings thanks to Mc Master-Carr..

I haven`t put the inner fender back on, so replacing the rubber fuel lines that use to go to the long
gone water separator, look pretty easy now. Those are 3/8`s right?

Yes the lines are 3/8's. I just got done plugging the pull top for the drain and tapping and adding a ball valve to the bottom for a drain I just have to run the lines.

This way I will have much more water capacity and can still run the 6.9 style fuel filters which are way cheaper even with a wix! And the best part is no leaky fuel heater. Will post pics of the mod one of these days.

Mines never had a water separator so I snagged one out of a junkyard and wanted to fix the problem with them known for sucking air. Interested to see if the sensor works as the plug is still there for it.

Thanks for the fuel line sizes. The filter was long gone when I bought the truck, the 2 hoses are just looped
together. I have wanted to change the old rotted looking things. Looked impossible to get to from the top or
bottom. Now with the inner fender out, I can get down in there.
I have a Racor FL500 filter to install in place of the old one. It is a long one but yes it will fit. I have thought
about installing one and mounting a plate to the two holes on the fender below the hood spring.

I was at PNP a couple months ago and a 85 6.9 had one installed there. So I grabbed the whole thing, plate
and all. It also has a hand primer pump, Soon as I get it taken apart and washed up, I`ll install it.
Here is what a new one looks like. They have 3 filter sizes 2, 10 and 15 micron.

Think
I paid about $27 for it. These are a great water trap.

Any one wanting to buy one, be careful, the market is loaded with Chicom knock offs. If you see them listed
for $40 - $75 or what ever, they are junk. E-Bay is loaded with them.
