Hollander interchange parts manuals

Does anyone have one of these that covers our trucks? Which one should I look for? I found some that cover up to 48 and then one that covers 46-56 or so.
I would think there are parts from newer trucks that fit our older ones.

I have the below Hollander you mentioned that covers 1946 to 1956. It is helpful to a degree, but I don’t use it a lot. I think you’ll find that better sources are the Ford Chassis Catalogs. I have an original and the reprint of the Green Bible, as well as the original editions covering the 1948-1956 generations. They show there were parts carried over, primarily chassis related, from the 1947 era into the Bonus Built era. You might also look to find early Ford Obsoleted, Superceded, Interchange (OSI) manuals for these eras because they document part number changes that track an old part into the following era. Stu

Bonus built era?
Sounds like a lot of books. I have never heard of the green bible either.
then there is the question of is a Mercury truck special and thus in need of a particular book?

Bonus Built era is the slogan Ford used to describe the 1948-1950 era. In practice it’s been stretched to include the 1951/1952 trucks.

Can be a lot of books if you want to track number changes. Ford was good at substituting some later part if it would do the job. Might not look the same, but the bean counters didn’t worry themselves with that. The Green Bible is the 1928 (iirc) to 1947 Chassis Catalog. The cover is green, but there is probably a cd version several vendors sell. Same goes for the 1948 to 1956 Catalog. If all you want is a quick and dirty way to look up parts on your pc, these are your answers. But please understand the 1948 to 1956 is based on the parts list from 1964. Numbers changed, and some parts simply disappeared in the later editions. Which is why I use the paper books. Ford of Canada published books for the Mercs, but I don’t know if a cd version is available. Sorta doubt it. Stu

Not all the "green bibles" are green. The one I picked up at a yard sale has an orange cover. Same info different color.

Agree, my original copy is the same. Just seems the green version won the naming battle. Stu
