Hey Guy's, been a while since I posted but I still follow the threads on here. I wanta share my current build, It's actually my best friends project, I'll explain.

It's a 62 Unibody.
OK, try to keep up My friend recently bought it from his Brother, who bought it some of our other friends in the early 90's. At the time my friend and I owned a operated a Paint and Body shop. So, he painted for his Brother. They also had our engine guy build a complete 351W engine, and another shop built a FMX trans and driveshaft. The engine and trans was sit in the painted body and his Brother took it home and put it in the garage. As time went by he collected parts an such. As years went by he just never got around to putting it together. So, more than 20 years later he was just ready to get it out of his way and sold it to his Brother (my best friend). He asked me to install the wiring harness and mechanical stuff, then he can finish the paint and body.
So, I named it Rip Van Winkle. It's a time capsule from the 90's and we're building it just that way. Old school horsepower, no overdrive, no power steering, Big ole tires on the rear and skinnies on the front and Centerline wheels!

I was gonna ask someone for a suggestion as to what host to use to post pictures, but I guess I don't need a host for this site.

Looks like you are not doing an easy-does-it type wiring harness. I was going to do a Painless harness for mine but changed my mind. It’s taking me long enough to finish this truck, I don’t need anything else complicating the build.

That was a American Auto Wire universal wire kit, and honestly it was pretty easy. Very good diagrams and pictures ))

Yes, for me, I do not want to splice onto the original bulbs and connection like you did. I want all new wire and ends that are at least similar to original. My original harness just seems too hard and possibly brittle to put any of it back in there.

When I saw the first picture I was thinking drum brakes up front? Then reading thru I can see keeping them and don't have any trouble if they are rebuilt.
Then I see a close up of that master and that would HAVE TO GO! No questions asked on a single line master!

My dad had a 64 C10 that I hated moving even in the yard with the single master, and they system was gone thru before he got it but I did not trust it.
I would go with a non-power duel master painted black in its place.

Other wise nice project. Going for a tilt glass front end?

A dual master probably wouldn’t be that hard if you have it all exposed. But IMO, you aren’t really in danger of breaking a line on these classics. After all, we aren’t getting them exposed to salt and nasty weather and this single master is what all cars and trucks had back in the day. On the other hand, things can go wrong so you may want to make sure you have good stopping power, especially if you plan on a bunch of horse power.

Yes they did run that back in the day and found all you had to have a 1 point of failure (bad wheel cly?) and you are NOT STOPPING!
Why risk it when you don't have to.
Hay it is his to do as he wishes.

Decided to move the brake pedal to the left of the steering column so I have more room for the accelerator pedal. We had a second brake pedal so I heated and rebent the it to the left and scabbed it to the original pedal with bolts, after test fit I'll weld the parts together.
