OKAY ... finally found an OEM 4x4 filter AND tube. Pretty close by to. In Lucknow shipped to my door for $50. I know some would say THAT is expensive, yes it is BUT it is still cheaper than buying through the inter net at U.S. prices plus shipping. He has to dig it out of his NOS parts but will let me know when it is on its way. Thanks Gerry for all your help. Much appreciated. NOW back to work. DRs appointment tomorrow a.m. then up to Guelph to see Harold @ engines from Hal. Haven't been there in a while and I will get him to jet wash the trans case while we chat and have a coffee and cookies. More pics tomorrow. Stay warm and play safe guys .

The bushing is for the yoke on the driveshaft, you probably wont use it,
indication would show that the yoke is all scored & the rear seal was leaking,
the smaller bushing goes in the pump for the neck on the torque
all the new clutches & the band will have to soak in new trans fluid for at least 15 minutes
use atf type that is marked on your dip stick

I cant see the outside of the case but pull the steel plugs out for washing & blow drying
the plugs are a 7/16 socket
if ure going to do any grinding on the outside of the case, do it before cleaning

Happy Hump Day Ontario Gerry and all passers by.
Did you figure out the seal?
Looks like an output seal. Kit may have more than 1 for other applications or tail shaft housings.

well got the trans all cleaned up and back home. Boy is Harold busy. He has a goat path IN the office... and down the length of his shop !!!! A 1000 and 1 things on the go ,ppl coming and going, bring stuff in and ordering parts, AND yet he found time to jet wash my C6. Blew out driveways yesterday and got soaked to the A** doing them. BUT a HOT shower, fuzzy pants and sweater and a hot breakfast and all good now.. I have another set back tho. Our son J.R. had a heart attack yesterday at work. They transferred him to St. Marys hospital in Kitchener for surgery, an MRI will be done this a.m. to have look see what is going on. They have told him a pacemaker will probably be implanter tomorrow. So far he is doing ok and in good spirits. His life style will have to take a BIG change now... NO smoking, watch his fried stuff and fast food intake. Kid is only 45, I am told he is in the BEST Hospital for heart patience. They train heart surgeons from all over at St. Marys. Anyway

sorry for dumping on you guys. Y'all stay warm and dry and play safe.

Best wishes and prayers for your son Jon. 45 is way too young.

I see the C-6 has ribs in the case, Gerry would know for sure but I think that is the best one. I've got a couple with no ribs.

Pop, I wish your son the best of care & health,
the man is young but I guess it depends on his life style eh....

George that's right about the ribbed case

Pop did they blow the case out after the wash,
maybe you should blow it out again before you start to assemble it ....

Thanks for the wishes and prayers guys. His life style was fast paced.. 50,60 70 hour work weeks and fast food suppers. Smoker to. THAT will all change now. Gerry after the jet wash it was power rinsed with clean water and blown dry.. then put in a BIG bag for transporting home. Harold knows what can happen to a transmission when dirt of any kind gets into it. Again I learn something.. Didn't know about the ribs on the C6 being the better case. I will get to the trans when we get more info on the boys condition and what they are going to do and when. Again thanks George and Gerry.

At least your boy has someone that cares about him, Jon. That smoking will have to stop and will be hard for him to do so.
Recently, in NY, there was a 48 year old ( I knew him and his family) who was shunned by his family do to his drinking, smoking and drug use. He was found dead on a laundromat floor. Choked on his own vomit or some say a heart attack. Family wants nothing to do with him so the body will probably be cremated and put in a "pauper.s grave"

Yes take care of yourself & the family fist Pop,
the trans will be there .....

very sad George but we know it happens almost every day

I quit smoking 33 yrs ago, just after my son was born, my wife didn't let me smoke in the house anymore, I'd had enough by then anyways

one of my favorite things after I quit smoking is that I didnt have to hand cigs out to my friends LOL

Never did get into smoking, Ger except for a pipe or cigar now and then. Last pipe was when I was listening to Cornell U winning the National Lacrosse championship in 1976. Now drinking that's another story About 20 years now of no alky...
