Cab Lights Leaking after 400 miles

I wouldnt touch it, only has 1 bolt holding it down which has a gasket under it as well. Hope for the best and if it leaks, let them fix it. I just have no luck with anything I buy, if it can go wrong it will be mine. Sure there are several thousands sold that never leak.

I had the same issue with my clearance lights and took it to the dealership. They indicated that the lights were not properly sealed from the factory and fixed the issue by applying silicon to the gaps. It wasn't a very clean job, given that you can see a bit of the silicon protruding out from under the light housing. But It's not noticeable unless you're up on a ladder looking closely at the lights. In any case, the fix did the trick for me.

I have a 2017 and my cabs lights look like they should leak buy they don't. They even got banged the first time I tried to pull into my garage, hence the garage modifications. If mine start to leak I'll have them replaced or replace them myself but I'm glad I have them cause they look great on my black truck.

I mentioned elsewhere on this topic that I may syringe carefully some black RTV around/under the light, without leaving a caulk bead...I may just do that, I don't want water damage to the headliner or electrical connections within only to have gremlins down the road...

I have a ford Dealership and have had this issue on a few trucks including my personal truck. There is a foam gasket that is supposed to seal up inside the light when the body screw is inserted in the light. All you have to do is remove the screw, open the light and place a small amount of selant around where the screw and the wires go through. It won’t be noticeable from the outside. Make sure they remove and inspect the switch panel where the upfitter switches and done lights are. Mine has shorted out from the water and the switched didn’t work like they should.

are the gaskets adhered to the underside of the cab light or to the exterior of the roof ?
in other words, does the gasket maintain its integrity or does it tear/separate?? Thanks.

I believe the adhesive is on the cab, and the light. Check out this thread: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...t-removal.html
My dad replaced his clearance lights & there was adhesive on the cab.
Hope this helps

brand new 21 F350 cab light leaking
Hello guys, I need some help, I just bought a truck less then a month ago ( 27 days ago) and today as I was driving a lot of water came out from the over head aux switch’s and lights. Ford said they would replace the cabs lights, I’m scared that the damage is already done! The amount of water that came out was abused. They said the water didn’t get anything else wet because of the plastic covering? But it was pouring out of my switch's. I’m scared of mold/wet smell. I’m a mason waterproof specialist, I know all about water damage. What can I do? Return the truck? I just hate that I paid over 60k and now this.
