Stinky issues. Anybody got a 7.3 SD for sale?

Sorry to hear about your accident. Glad everyone was okay.
I agree that a lesser truck could have ended worse. Whenever we drive out of town my wife wants to take my truck since it can take a helluva lot more beating than her unibody Jeep.
I'd offer some links to trucks out here but people are still asking $20K+ for them if they are in any decent shape.
If my wife had any say mine would be for sale right now. The only thing keeping the keys in my pocket is that she wants a newer vehicle.
Just glad everyone walked away.

Again, thank you all for the well-wishes. My wife is reading them along with me.
Side note. We scrambled to get back on the road to get home, complete with the salvageable contents of Stinky during our 2-week vacation. We rented an Explorer, and folded all the seats down. I was bowled over by how much that rig held - but we were a bit overloaded. I had to drive for three hundred miles at night with everybody in two states flashing us with highs, because our lights were tilted up by all the weight in the ***.

Black ice can get you by surprise. I rolled one 2 years ago last week on black ice 3 miles after putting plates and insurance on it. Mine faired about as well as yours but I walked away unhurt just a little sore just like you. Mine was still running when we finally came to a stop on its side it was only a mile from my house so I had the wife bring the other 7.3 over and we pulled it back in its feet and drove it home.

Good to hear that you and your wife are OK, Rich! Seriously, that is absolutely the most important thing, and I know that you already know. Sorry about the inconvenience associated with the truck's demise, but I know you'll come out on the better end of it in the end.
I have a request from simple curiosity, though. Given how our trucks have aged well and held their market value so well for so long, I'd be curious to know how well your insurance company compensates you for what we know is a truly valuable vehicle, especially in terms of its replacement.
Keep taking care of yourself, Rich!

I'm not sure what calculator the insurance company uses but Kelley Blue Book value is nowhere near market value. I could part out my truck and make more than selling it whole with all the goodies I've got on it..

I know, and that's why I'm curious about how this whole thing is going to literally pay out for Rich. I know that when I sold my '03 Excursion over two years ago, I sold it for over $300 MORE than I had paid for it 7 years and 80K miles earlier. I'm not confident that the insurance company would have been as generous on a total loss incident!
