Stinky issues. Anybody got a 7.3 SD for sale?

This is not a snot-bubble blowin', whine-N-cheesefest. Stinky has gone to that carwash in the sky, giving his 365,000-mile motor a respite. The engine was still running when I turned the key off for the last time, but the chassis is done.

I will have far more details later, but I can say no one was harmed in the event - save a few Aspens. I'll apologize in advance to the tree huggers.

Oh NOOOO!

So sorry to hear that Rich. Must have been a terrifying collision/experience.

So happy that you and your wife are OK, and that no one was harmed.

So sad to imagine seven years of stinkering... gone so suddenly.

So waiting to see the 4K video of whatever happened.

Wow. The end of the LEGEND!!

Glad no one was hurt. Strip him before you hand him over, I know you had some quality parts on him.

Everyone is safe, that is important.

There is a 7.3 in Hartwell for sale, but I didn't see the price from the road, we are far from you and it is red.

Let me know if you would like me to check into it for you.

Wow sorry to hear Rich......if you are still near Arizona there are always nice, rust free low mileage 7.3 SDs, Vans and EXs available in Phoenix.....https://phoenix.craigslist.org/searc...ery=7.3+diesel

AW Crap. Just very glad no one was hurt. I know the dust hasn't settled yet so will hold off excitement about a new Tugly build thread

Bummer man! Sorry to hear...

I look at used cars often across the US, they're usually the cleanest up in OR and WA. AZ vehicles are rust-free but the sun down there bakes them up pretty good. I lived in Tucson for about 6 years. It's not uncommon to find a 80k mile truck that has never, once, since new, been put into 4x4. I've seen the inside of differentials that had a light coating of surface rust on the gears because they literally had never been turned. Frankly, I'd start up in the NW!

You'll know what to look for this time, I know if I bought another 7.3, I'd make some very different choices!

Sorry to hear about the truck but glad that everyone is okay.

I'll keep an eye out for trucks on sale here but most of them have a lot of corrosion due to all the salt we use in MN.

Glad to hear all occupants are OK Rich, even if Stinky and the trees didn't bode so well.

if you ever consider coming to VA from your corner of the country, I know a guy that may be interested in parting with his for newer projects.

So sorry to hear about Stinky. We are glad you are ok. That is one of the nice things about a larger truck. Safety for you and your family in the event something does happen. Rest In Peace Stinky.
