I have found a 1 ton 4x4 front end for my 94 F250,replacing the junk, question is, it has 354 in it,does anybody know if my gears from my independent front will fit in the 1 ton front.Thank You for any response.
I might go that way,the other thing is I found a pair of axles,f,r, with 373 gears, good gearing, but they come out of a 1999,,f350 super duty, was told they will be a total pain in the a--,to put in,1 metric,2 the disc brakes in rear, drive shafts and some other mods, those are 600 for the pair.truck is put up in winter, only sees snow during November.I got time on my side. Thanks for the input I will always listen.
quite a few guys have went to the newer metric axles simply for the rear disc setup. it is no where as hard as people say it is.
the plus side is you get rear disc brakes, and much better options for custom wheels.
another plus is the 3.73 gears. they give you the happy medium between 3.55 being too high for good towing, and 4.10 being too low for good gas mileage.
