Questions on 1981-1988 AOD Transmission
Couple questions for the 1981-1988 AOD transmission, for which I have not been able to find any clear answers. Any references would be greatly appreciated.
Does the governor control the 1-2 upshift in an AOD transmission? If so, and the 1-2 upshift is smooth, firm and occurs when the TV pressure is about 25 psi (medium throttle and acceleration), does this indicate that the governor pressure is at least good to 25 psi ?
What would cause the direct clutch pressure to be zero when the transmission should be in 3rd or 4th gear (speed 30 to 45 mph) with a remanufactured Valve Body (VB) and remanufactured governor in place, and the TV pressure has been set correctly?
