Thanks for the input from everyone. As an update, the motors are removed and I am swapping parts now. As the old system is 12 volt positive ground, I am concerned about how it will be installing a universal 12 volt fuel pump. I am wondering if it will run in reverse if I hook it up to a 12 volt positive ground system. Does anyone have a thought or experience with this? I am also wondering what's involved in converting over to 12 volt negative ground, using an alternator instead of a generator.

You sure it's a positive ground?
