Bullet Proof Diesel released a larger OEM style oil cooler for the 6.7s. Only been out a week, so no hard data, but Jon is reporting a nice drop in oil temps unloaded during freeway runs. Looks promising. I plan to purchase if the drop is significant towing when he reports. Price is under $200 for an introductory price. Will go to $250ish soon.

It appears he has an aluminum finned pan installed. The temps he reports will be misleading in my opinion. If you truly want to know if it keeps the oil temp lower, then one needs to treat with a stock oil pan.

Sounds like another one of these after market differential covers with fins that keeps the rear ends cooler that can cause more harm than good.

That finned oil pan is doing nothing but looking nice.

Possibly, but he was still running 250°+ oil temps with that oil pan in place. If it was able to knock his deltas down, it knocks em down with a stock pan.

Sub'd. This might be a good alternative since the auxiliary oil cooler kits that No Limit and MDP are producing don't work on the 2017's with ACC.

I ran the BPD 1/2 oil kit on my 2008 with great results.

Biggest draw for me on this is it goes right back in the factory location and it is relatively cheap. Hope it knocks temps down for Jon so I can buy one.

That's exactly what I was thinking also.

I ordered it, and bonus they also ran a deal for the stock 6.7 metal oil pan which I've wanted to upgrade on my 2011 for a long time. I've only seen my oil temps go over 205 when pulling really heavy. They tend to sit around 230, but can go up to 240 on long grades. Excited to try it out. I was considering the MPD kit, but damn it looks ugly sitting out there in the bumper. Plus the price... it's probably overkill for my needs.
