Those lights look amazing. Nice work. Can you post some pics from the windshield at night?

Looks like a decent improvement. The retrofit is on my todo list for my 02. The light output is terrible by todays standards. The aiming with the lens off is a genius idea. I'm glad I looked through this.

yup its a fantastic improvement that i enjoy every single morning dropping the baby off lol. and yeah it requires a bit more time as you gotta reinstall the lights 2x but i mean its worth getting the projectors dialed in for left to right adjustment....yet somehow i still didn't get the driver side perfect.

Awesome job, I think they turned out great! I did a set for my '13, and swore I'd never do them again, because there was always something else I wanted to do. One of which was doing an LED Pod for an auxiliary high beam.

I just bought the stocker LED's this go around. Seeing your thread almost makes me wish I done another set. Almost lol.

You finish these yet???

It's not a race. Get it just how you want them cause when you get them on the truck you won't wanna take them back off lol.

280 for the oven worked for me (it took a few cook times at 280 to get the entire lens off.. hotter might be better but i didn't know the melting point of the headlight height adjustment gaskets.

you pulled all the screws out? one in the center on the back, a couple along the edge. Is the sealant at least softening up to where you can cut it with a blade? Flat head screwdriver helps pry too.

Yeah all screws and yes it did at least soften up. After the flat head I started a blade along the edge an dalmost have the first one off. Just a pain. Oh well keep on trying. I'm persistent. And thanks for tips.

cool man! try and get the whole thing separated evenly even though its really tempting to get your fingers under one end and just pry the entire thing off at once. I think thats what caused my one lens to develop a bunch of cracks i didn't see until they were assembled in the full sunlight at the right angle :/ clear plastic lens does not like twisting and bending motion lol

You got it man!! So now you know why once it's open, make sure you're OCD as [email protected]#$ with the paint, parts, etc. Although the retro rubber butyl is way easier to re open than the OEM sealant lol.
