Did this throw a CEL I'm guessing? Hadn't heard of this happening so early on. Glad she's fixed.
Nope, no codes, not 1. Spent around 7 hours in the truck with the tech, got it duplicate the problem twice so he could record it. He was surprised. Tore it down and fixed it thus far.
There should be an option for "Completely disappointed with Ford's 'service' at multiple dealers"
Seriously, I've never experienced worse vehicle service in my life..and from TWO separate dealers! It's like Ford figured out that they didn't need to worry about service since they sell the most trucks anyway. Lying, poor workmanship, no loaner vehicles for warranty repairs...it baffles me.
There should also be an option for "Ridiculous squeaks and rattles from cab interior"...
This is the last Ford vehicle my family ever owns. Guess this thread hit a nerve.

The car business is a “you get what you pay for” business from the top to the bottom. Unfortunately they are all going that way dude. 2 words that sum up the decline in service and quality repairs. CORPORATE DEALERSHIPS. They are what now in 2018 represent 90% of the “brands”. They are perpetually run half ***, from the top to the bottom. All the mom and pop shops have, or are selling out. They cant compete. Mom and pops were where the quality experience was at. They paid better. I have watched the dealerships change RAPIDLY in the last 5 years. They pay techs crap now adays, and warranty flag hours are a joke, and thats all they do. These new young men and women in the shops now adays arent mechanically minded. They are tech savy. Most big dealerships might have 1 or 2 old guys left that actually know what they are doing, but the industry is out pacing the old guys. Hell the industry is out pacing the new guys. The old guys cant afford to have an apprentice, so all of the new techs are hurried through places like UTI, where they are mearly taught the basics. The young techs are poorly trained, and the dealerships are spotty with extended training at best. It all comes off the bottom line which effects the managers bonus........Huge bonuses. They burn through service writers because of poor CSI scores because of the repair quality out of the shop. So a good one is hard to find. Dealerships have become completely corporate and they have killed the industry. Im salty....i could go on for days. I will say most consumers would freak if they actually saw how dis functionally run most of these big dealerships are. Unfortunately over time, we all did it to our selves by buying from the cheapest seller we could find. Corperate america has all the buying power. I would like to add that i am about as conservitive as they come..... soo yeah.... just wanted to put that out there before i get butched.
As Mike Rowe has pointed out there is a severe shortage of young people willing or wanting to do hands on trades anymore. That is leading to a shortage of plumbers, electricians, HVAC techs, RV techs, and yes mechanics. Everybody wants that 4 yr 120 grand degree now that may or may not land you a job but leaves you mired in student debt.

yep..... there is no value seen anymore in labor in this country. Young people have all the greed but none of the drive. My trade has been devalued to the point where sometimes its not even worth doing. Fixing dents used to be a 100k + dollar a year job...... now if all you do is work dealerships its good for 50ish and your gonna’ earn it. Problem is im 40 and PDR and paint and body is all i know. Unfortunately both industries have and are trending to hot garbage. When and if labor is valued again in this country, i think we could see a change...... but until then ...... meh
My only issue I experienced in this poll was a misaligned cab. After reading through all the replies to date, I think a spreadsheet would've been a better tool to capture all the issues versus a poll with a limited number of options. And no, polls like this are not worthless because "The squeaky wheel gets the grease."
Bought my 17 KR in June 17. Since then I'm only at 5500 miles but no issues to really bitch about. A small cab squeak/rattle that's not noticeable with the radio on. Haven't dared to open the roof, probably won't. Noticed some condensation starting in the led headlights.
