There are currently several field service actions (covered by extended warranty) which will illuminate the check engine light. I recently had #17M04 completed under extended warranty. Ford customer satisfaction letters detail at least two others. How does one find out how much time the PCM/FMEM? provides prior to automatically reducing available power or idling/shutting down completely.
Service writers haven't a clue, and haven't been able to find a mechanic to ask, as yet.. This should be essential, available info if you are out towing, miles from home.
