Cheers F350-6,
nothing is just easy and reliable anymore. As a great retired Tugboat Engineer freind of mine says, everything has the “China Syndrome” built in nowadays. Or how they make things now to stop you messing with or servicing/fixing them yourself, “Surrounded by mystery and bull****”

Cheers, Nigel

I did get a call from dealership yesterday evening.
motor and trans or good. There going to check alignment today.
And hopefully send it back to body shop tomorrow for paint , Body and frame checked out.
After all those estimates insurance will make decision to fix or total it.
I have heard if three more f250's being stolen in my area in the last two weeks.
And that's just what ivI' heard of.
It's crazy. Don't know what there doing with that many f250's.

Jimmi Jammers

I thought they used slim Jim on door .
But all it took was a screwdriver driven in door lock and turned to unlock door.
They make jimmi jammers that you can install in the doors to prevent theft this way. I have been procrastinating on putting them on. I think your post has motivated me though! I hope insurance treats you well. Still making my way through your thread.

I had a lock punched on my 02 with Jimmy Jammers on them. I got something called lock block next. It's a metal plate that goes around the outside of the door handle on the door. The metal isn't really thick enough to stop a screwdriver and hammer from bending it out of the way, but it's a visual deterrent that has lock block stamped on it, but most importantly, it covered the dent in the door from the first time they used a screwdriver on the door handle.

(A hard enough impact knocks the hose clamp off the lock cylinder so it can turn again.)

My dad used to say that locks are made to keep honest people out.

If they want in they will get in. I have Jimmy Jammers and no locks now, they have been punched but never got in.. I hope I don't have my batteries die..

Spring punch and you are in a window in a second with little noise. Even better if they have tint as they stay in one piece attached to the tint and just fall in.

Once in mine they have to get past the Ravelco, good luck with that.
