Need Mud Flaps Weathertech or Husky?
#20
So far, I've returned everything Husky and replaced it with Weathertech other than the gearbox under the back seat. I just like the Weathertech stuff better. I did have to cut about 1/3 of the front flaps off to make it so my tires didn't rub, but they still protect the outside painted surfaces just fine.

Did you switch floor liners from Husky to Weathertech? I have three sets of Weathertech floor liners from past trucks. Never again. They are useless. On my third truck with Husky Xact's and will never go back. They hold the and mud and water. Weathertech runs it into the wire chase under the thresholds.

I was given a set of Huskyliner Mud Guards for Christmas but being WeatherTech is in my back yard, I went back and forth on which to install. After looking at about a dozen trucks and seeing the various differences, I picked up a set of WTs as well to be sure I was going to be happy with whatever I finally decided on. I started with the WeatherTechs in the rear since they really are a true no-drill mudflap. But the mechanism they use to hold them in place leaved them with what is essentially a hole that goes right through to the inside of the fender and I wasn't too keen on that. Then I trial fit the Huskyiners. While they say they are a no-drill mudflap, they rely on adhesive as the primary method of attachment and I know while that may be a viable option for some, I knew the first snowbank they'd catch would also be their last along with possibly the factory fender flair it was attached to so I ended up doing what I've done with every other mudflap I've installed and drilled holes and installed them with screws. They turned out great and even though I had to drill into my new truck, it never stopped me before and I know they are not going anywhere other than where the truck goes and I'm quite OK with that. The funny thing was I was never destined to install the WeatherTechs that day anyways as when I was cleaning everything up and putting the set of WT mudflaps back in the box, I noticed that the rear WeatherTechs I opened were mispackaged and had a label on them with the part number for the fronts, and the box with the part number for the rears had rears in them as well.
