Talking Add power steering revisited (1963 F-100)

I remember seeing the subject of power steering being kicked around on here before i drove my truck. NOW, I'm interested! Help me find previous threads or give info on what to do

P/S was not available in F100/250 2WD's until 1966. These or any other year FoMoCo P/S parts cannot be swapped onto 1961/64's.

Search for Toyota box or solid axle rack & pinion power steering both are available aftermarket kits. They are not plug and play and take some modifications

Thank you. Are there any words that go with Toyota box........? Do you know of a particular thread that might shed more light for me. Would I need the complete axle or just the power steering parts ? How to find aftermarket kits

I have also been trying to find a soulution for this as well. I can find bits and pieces of info but not a lot of detail. Maybe you can dig into this and find more. I think there is a power assist kit available. Good luck. I will be following this thread. ,Doug.

Try this

And this for the rack and pinion for straight axle kit. To answer your question if your truck is stock suspension it already is straight axle.

Electric ps is a cheap option. I have some of the pieces - Saturn ps unit and Ebay controller - but I haven't taken the plunge yet. Lots of info on Youtube.
