Look What Decided to Follow Me Home

Just couldn't say no, had to provide a nice home for this 55 F250. The post on craigslist made it seem like it was just a cab, front clip, and some assorted parts, but it ended up being basically the whole truck. It will end up being yet another parts truck. Cab is better than what I've got, and the doors are surprisingly nice. Just thought I'd post here to show off 😎

223 is locked up, but I'll be taking off some of the bolt on parts off to see if anyone can use em.

Looks like a real nice pile of good parts. The cab looks like it won't need to much patching.

Great score. If the wheels are 16s rather than the two piece 17s they should be saved. The F-2/F250 16s are one piece and sought after. Stu

Seen that truck on craigslist for quite some time, it was about 10 miles from me. You got a good deal!

Very nice. Did they say why it was taken apart? Stalled project? It almost seems too nice to part out.

Yes, nice find! And I agree with Merc. But of course I haven't seen it in person.

I I've heard of guys that buy a parts truck and it's so nice they make that one the good truck!

They are the 16s. They're in nice shape, but now I have around 6 or so extras that I will have no use for... yet....

I was definitely surprised it hadn't been taken already. I happened to find something else in the area on craigslist and just happened to run across it.

It didn't have a title, and I guess South Dakota is pretty tough to get a new title.

The pictures are a little flattering, and don't show the extent of the damage. He also cut a chunk out of the firewall that will have to be welded back in. It will need front cab corners, patching in the front floor pans, and some general love, but should be very doable. The biggest thing to me is that I can take the cab, work on just the cab without totally blowing up my whole truck right away.

On a slightly related note, I have been told that I have almost enough parts to make a whole second truck by the time I'm said and done. I also ran across this, and have been getting all sorts of ideas... The dark side is calling.... 1953-1956 Ford Short Box S-10 Conversion Kit - Code 504, LLC
